This page will grow as I grow within the cyber patriot program. It's only the beginning!
For a few weeks, I, and my team, worked through training rounds for the CyberPatriot
Competition so we could learn and improve our skills in cybersecurity before the competition.
We worked on pre-prepared images for operatiing systems such as: Windows 11, Windows 10 Server, and Linux Mint.
We all worked together to solve problems, made doomsday reports for our assigned operating system,
and wrote scripts to make it easier for us during the real competitions. We prepared by making sure we understood everything from
security items that are scored to security vulnerabilities that are not scored. We wanted to know everything when it came down to
the real competition so we wouldn't be left behind.
Below are my scoring reports for each image in the Cyber Patriot training round 1.
The first round was harder than the training images, so we were put to the test. I was able to score just below 100, at 96, before the end of our timeframe. I got stuck on the last security issue and still do not know what it was. I worked on Linux Mint and I felt good about my performance but I hope to get 100 at the next competition in November.
Below is my final scoring report for Linux Mint during this competition.
